what if we don’t go back?

Cult Classics is a film collective using Disability Justice as a guide post for the stories we create. We are a racially diverse team made up of white, Black and Brown people with radical aims and aspirations set on creating stories that confront ableism and colonial violence while visioning new possibilities for the world we live in. 

We are raising funds for a short-film titled What If We Don’t Go Back.  This is a short science fiction film based in a post-capitalist world centered on a commune where disabled people have everything they need to exist. It was written in response to the recent overturn of the Olmstead Act guided by the principles of Disability Justice in order to confront ableism and show people a world where ableism does not define the lives of disabled people and how humans are cared for in society. We want to create a world where the line between abled body and disabled body people is transformed into a place where everybody is equally human and equitably cared for.
